ride.

wear
protective
headgear
while
mounted.

recommend
a
riding
helmet
which
meets
the
ASTM
F1163
standard
requirements
for
participation
in
equestrian
sports
).

Riding
boots.
or
shoes
should
have
at
least
a
1/2"
heel.
(
with
soles
that
are
not
fashionably
thick
...
and
tread
that
is
not
heavy
or
coarse,
as
the
rider's
foot
must
be
easily
made
free
of
the
stirrup
irons
).
*
Wear
comfortable
clothing;
suited
to
the
weather.
(
breeches,
sweat
pants
or
jeans
are
appropriate;
no
shorts
...
gloves
in
the
winter).
*
In
addition
to
riding
instruction;
students
will
learn
basic
horsemanship
skills,
which
include

leading

grooming
and
how
to
tack
up
a
horse.

Try
to
arrive
at
least
15
minutes
early
to
confirm
which
horse
you
will
be
assigned
to
and
to
tack
up.

cancellation

rescheduling.

of
the
cost
of
a
lesson
